“I had a stroke. No one really knows what it is like unless they have also experienced a brain injury. I had aphasia (a speech disorder) from my stroke, so talking . . . well, I couldn't do much. I was so frustrated because, when the words didn't come out it felt like a little piece of my was dying. Marcia changed that. Because of the guidance she provided, I can speak naturally now. In fact, I speak to audiences all across the U.S.!
Marcia reminded me that it takes more time than expected to recover from a brain injury. I learned to savor the small things as they happened, and rejoice when I made a breakthrough. With Marcia on my side, I was never alone.
I loved the coaching experience with Marcia. The thing that most caught me by surprise is that, regardless of where I was on my journey, Marcia saw the real me."

Through my coaching, I help stroke and TBI survivors learn how to overcome and get around their obstacles.
8 years ago I had a stroke. Try as I might, I couldn’t speak. Years later, I could say some things on a conversational level (kind of). Sometimes, I couldn’t say anything at all. What I found out is that if you want to get over aphasia (one of the problems is saying the words), it takes a number of different exercises to bring language all together. That's how I help people regain their language and other skills through my coaching programs.
Do you know any stroke or TBI survivors who wants to get through struggles?
You are not alone.

“Before coaching with Marcia Moran, I struggled with living my values. Then Marcia taught me that at was okay to be myself. If I really wanted to change and become the person I said I was, I could actually do it. So . . . I read a book called This Naked Mind: Control Alcohol, Find Freedom, Discover Happiness, and Change Your Life. And, I decided I didn’t need to drink anymore. I haven’t had a drink for over two months . . . and I don’t miss it. I don’t even think about it.
The 3 most significant results I’ve experienced from coaching with Marcia are her compassion, her willingness to accept me as am and to view me as who I choose to be, and holding the space so that I make my own decisions without influence.
What I loved most about coaching with Marcia is learning how to be the real me. I can’t wait for the next chapter of my life!”

“Before coaching with Marcia, I struggled because I had recently and blood pressure scare. My doctor changed my meds and suggested that I lose a little weight. I few days later, Marcia started coaching me. I learned how to lose weight gradually—without feeling cheated because we focused on what I could eat. It is hard for me to lose, but I even lost a pound on my vacation! More importantly, Marcia taught me breathing exercises as part of my new normal eating habit. The interesting thing is that I can do them any time to “destress” myself.
The 3 most significant results I’ve experienced from coaching with Marcia are her extremely positive way of working with me, the challenges that we worked through, and best of all, losing the weight my doctor suggested!
What I loved most about coaching with Marcia is that she makes things easy for me to do. She let me understand that it is ok to be me.”
